HUMAN DEVELOPMENT: REGIONAL MEASUREMENT

Abstract
The article analyses the influence of indicators of the Regional Human Development Index such as health, education, the condition of the environment on life and the welfare of the population on the example of the Odesa region. The analysis of the demographic situation is characterized by population decline, low life expectancy, deterioration of health, etc. It was noted that the demographic situation in the region affects the quantitative indicators of the condition of the education sector. It is concluded that the work of local authorities and local government should be aimed at creating favourable conditions for improving the quality of life, health, and well-being of the population of the region and the reproduction of natural resources.
