Journal Title: Krytyka Prawa. Niezależne studia nad prawem - Year 2009, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

The author presents the concept of property by J. Locke. J. Locke put property on a central spot in his doctrine and justified this with a complicated theoretical argumentation. The text contains an analysis of this concept, placing it within the legal system of a normative construction. Subsequently, he presents this concept as a category of social life, points out its position in the functioning mechanism of society and the state and finally he presents the viewpoint of a number of interdisciplinary trends that dominate in literature regarding this subject.
