IDENTIFICATION OF GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITES BY THEIR PHOTOMETRIC AND DYNAMIC FEATURES, SOME PROBLEMS
Journal Title: Odessa Astronomical Publications - Year 2015, Vol 28, Issue 1
Abstract
It is possible to identify certain characteristics of geostationary satellites by studying their photometry. This paper reviews some of the technical problems and methodologies concerning photometry of satellites, as well as their identification by photometric characteristics. The existing methods of identifying geostationary satellites using photometry are also summarized. The present Database of photometric and dynamic characteristics of the GSS, additional information, simplifying the input of the inverse problem all this allows modern methods to identify unknown GSS with a probability up to 80%.

HIGH-FREQUENCY CUTOFF IN TYPE III BURSTS
In this article we report about a group of solar bursts with high-frequency cutoff, observed on 19 August of 2012 near 8:23 UT, simultaneously by three different radio telescopes: the Ukrainian decameter radio telescope...
HIGH-ENERGY DIFFRACTION AND DUALITY RELATIONS
László Jenkovszky, István Szanyi Relations between elastic and inelastic diffraction due to Regge factorisation and pomeron dominance are discussed in the light of the new phenomena discovered at the LHC in nearly forwar...
DATA PROCESSING OF PLATES CONTAINING IMAGES OF URANUS AND NEPTUNE FROM UKRVO DIGITAL ARCHIVE: STRUCTURE, QUALITY ANALYSIS
To use accumulated resources of UkrVO digital archive, analysis of the available photographic plates containing images of Uranus and Neptune was conducted. Data processing of selected plates was also caried out to provid...
X-RAY EMISSION AND ORIENTATION OF SELECTED PF GALAXY CLUSTERS
X-ray counterparts for 35 galaxy clusters contained in the PF catalogue of galaxy clusters and groups were found in XMM-Newton archive. 22 ones (all from ACO catalogue) have extended elliptic X-ray haloes appropriate for...
GRAVITATIONAL MICROLENSING AND EXTENDED SOURCE MODELS
We perform statistical simulations of light curves of extended microlensed sources having different brightness distribution in the source plane. We generated a set of realizations of lensing point mass system that takes...
