IDENTIFIKÁCIA A EVALVÁCIA KLASTROVÝCH INICIATÍV NA SLOVENSKU

Abstract
The importance of local potential has become one of the most decisive factor in regional development. There are several ways and tools how to boost the attractiveness and success of a region. One of them is the implementation of cluster policy and establishment of clusters. The contribution proposes several definitions and basic characteristics of clusters, identifies existing clusters in Slovakia and tries to evaluate and classify them according to given criteria based on the literary sources. The classification is completed with one chart and four maps introducing clusters classification in Slovakia.
