IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF ANTHROPOGENICALLY TRANSFORMED SOILS OF KHARKIV

Abstract
Ecological studies of anthropogenically transformed soils of Kharkiv city by chemical and biological methods are presented. It was established that the chemical analysis did not show any exceedances of MPC in all investigated areas; biological analysis showed that all soil samples revealed toxic properties, ie a reliable (P = 0,05) decrease in the length of the roots and germs of the used test objects, which confirms the effectiveness of biological methods as providing an integral assessment of the quality of the environment.
