Journal Title: Topics in Economics, Business and Management (EBM) - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
In the current era, online financial services apps such as Alipay are booming in China due to technological development. The government has also shown their support towards this advancement in the financial sector. Therefore, a study to analyze the effect of online financial services apps on university students’ financial management in China has been proposed. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is the suggested research methodology. There are not many literatures which focus on the impacts of these apps toward personal financial management. Personal financial management is crucial for the development of the country as a whole as it is related to the standard of living and prosperity of the people. The results of this research will help Chinese government as well as other countries in determining the stance that they should take regarding this matter.
