Implications of science and technology in some aspects of the Mother and Child Care Program

Abstract

A literature review was carried out, with the objective of describing the implications of science and technology in some aspects of the Maternal and Child Care Program. The unusual development of science and technology from the second half of the twentieth century brought changes in the lives of people and in the production of knowledge. It was considered that many have been the implications of science and technology in the Maternal Child Care Program, related to the broad coverage of family doctors and nurses, application of advanced technology exams and establishment of the National Immunization Program, which contributed to low infant mortality rates.
