Abstract
European Union represents a huge market for pharmaceutical products. There is substantial parallel trade in pharmaceutical product within the EU market. This trade exists because of the price differences for pharmaceuticals between national market. Some of drugs are extremely expensive in some places, to the point of being unaffordable and, thus unavailable to some people. In other places within the market for various reasons the prices are lower. There are many reasons for these price differences.
