IMPROVING SHIPS SAFETY BASED ON GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Abstract
In work it is analyzed the factors, which have an influence on a vessel safety and It is examined the ways of its increasing. One of least inexpensive and enough effective way of maintenance of vessel safety on the sea is a wide use of geographic information system (GIS) and technologies for granting to the navigator of the most full information for acceptance of correct decision in extreme emergencies.
