IN RESPECT OF CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE THEORY OF ECONOMIC SECURITY

Abstract
Despite the high importance of the issue ofsociety’s economic security, the underlying theoretical framework is currently being characterized by its utter stagnation and limited practical applicability. As the main cause of the impasse one could point to the complex interdisciplinary nature of the concept under the dominance of the political science component lacking an adequate scientific toolkit. Therefore, the solution of the problem one would see through the revision and rebalancing of the economic and political science components of the discipline in favor of the former, whereas as the subject of protection being proposed society’s economic system considered through the lens of long-run economic growth. Thus, the main subject of the economic security theory, within the suggested approach, is the study ofthe negative shocks for economy, their impact on economic growth, as well asthe means of their neutralization.
