IN SEARCH OF THE WORLD OF VALUES THROUGH GEOGRAPHICAL GLASSES

Abstract
Author presents the specificity of geographical perception of the world, which is metaphorically called geographical glasses. It has been referred to, inter alia, in International Charter on Geographical Education by listing research questions raised by a geographer. Such specific perception is also noticeable in Gustaw Wuttke’s sightseeing method, which combines diverse cognitive and emotional motives crucial for both regional and axiological education. Various values of geographical environment have been collated with regard to the rivers. These values are illustrated on the example of the Bzura river in Sochaczew, for which a concept of a geographical-axiological educational trail has been developed<br/><br/>
