Abstract
The Indian educational system is confronting huge challenges to achieve the goals of inclusive education. It thrives to provide equal and equitable quality education for all children with and without disabilities by creating inclusive educational environments. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) 2009 statistics says that about Eighty percent of Indian population live in rural areas without provision for special schools. It means, there are an estimated 8 million children out of school in India, many of whom are marginalized by dimensions such as poverty, gender, disability, and caste.
