INDICATORS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CLASSICAL THEORY OF VALUE
Journal Title: Проблеми системного підходу в економіці - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 62
Abstract
Today, in the economy, there are more than one hundred indicators of economic, financial, social development of the country. Also, in addition, there are groups of other indicators and, such as environmental, mental, climatic and territorial, and others, which also characterize separate aspects of the country’s economic development. In this article, work was done to sum up the indicators of economic development and bring them down to ten indicators. Indicator groups are new partially. Indicators of socio-economic development are given in the following ten indicators. 1. Economic urbanization. 2. Per capita income. 3. Technological structure of the economy. 4. Savings accounts. 5. Quality of life indices. 6. Domestic conditions (place of residence). 7. Higher vocational education. 8. Level of crime. 9. Access to the media. 10. Indices of national development. The theme of economic development includes an analysis of the country’s economic progress and is the subject of economic, and not another consideration, first of all. The article proposes to take as a basis the labour as a factor that is characterized and measured by a certain quantitative indicator. Economic development is associated with a result indicator outside of the economic mechanism. Such a view is only half true. In our opinion, the construction of fundamentally new indicators, which are laid down in the classical political economy in the basis of economic development, is based on the use of a quantitative indicator of labour input. In this direction, research is carried out and positive results are made. Today, classical and neoclassical economic theories characterize economic development taking into account the factors that distinguish labour as the main factor (classical theory), or one of the factors (neoclassical theory, Keynesians, etc.) of the country’s economic development. However, the labour indicator does not take a direct participation as a numerical indicator or does not participate in the mechanism for calculating a specific indicator. We believe that the indicator of labour input developed by us is scientifically grounded and is proposed for the application in theoretical constructs of indicators of economic development of the country.
