INERTIAL BENDING OF A THIN-WALLED WAVEGUIDE WITH RECTANGULAR CROSS-SECTION: BENDING OF LATERAL WALL IN ITS PLANE
Journal Title: Periódico Tchê Química - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue 0
Abstract
Based on the theory of plates and shells, a method of modeling thin-walled beams is proposed. Using the tenets of the theory of plates and shells, Papkovich–Neuber solution, as well as the Saint Venant semi-inverse method, partial analytical solution of a system of nonlinear partial differential equations, is applied to calculate inertial stress action on the deflected mode of lateral plates of thin-walled straight parts of waveguides with a rectangular cross-section. The novelty of this article is in the fact that the conducted research proved the cause of the behavior of a waveguide with a rectangular cross-section. To achieve the desired results, calculation methods were used, based on the works of Vlasov, Bychkov, and Rzhanitsyn. The obtained results showed the correctness of this technique and revealed the necessity to specify the Zhuravsky formula when calculating shear stresses in thin-walled beams by Euler–Bernoulli beam theory.
INVESTIGATION OF THE NANOSCALE MODIFICATION EFFECT OF MATRICES ON THE RESIDUAL STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF PLASTIC PANELS REINFORCED BY CARBON FIBERS
The influence of nanomodification of carbon plastic on the residual stress-strain state (SSS) after molding has been studied. Due to the high anisotropy of the physical and mechanical properties, the nonuniform thickness...
COMPARISION OF PURE MEMBRANES OF 13X AND 5A ZEOLITE FOR REMOVAL OF ACRIDINE ORANGE DYE FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
This work has been performed to test pure membranes of two zeolites as effective adsorbents for the removal of the cationic dye acridine orange (AO) from aqueous solution. The membranes were made through fast and easy me...
SYNTHESIS OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES FUNCTIONALIZED WITH AQUEOUS EXTRACT (Burseragraveolens) AND ANTIMICROBIAL EVALUATION IN Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus AND Klebsiellapneumoniae
Currently, resistance to antibiotics has become a problem for the treatment of infectious diseases. In this study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized using the aqueous extract of Palo santo (Burseragraveolens), for it...
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENTS OF SORVETES AFTER APPLICATION OF FLOCCULANTS
The dairy industry plays a major role both economically and socially in Brazil. However, it generates a significant volume of effluent that presents high organic load. Because of this, a proper treatment is required for...
