Influence of PUR modifier in waterborne UV acrylic systems upon properties of coatings on furniture panels

Abstract
Influence of PUR modifier in waterborne UV acrylic systems upon properties of coatings on furniture panels. The aim was determination of the effects of the PUR modifier added to UV acrylic waterborne system and properties evaluated of obtain coatings in the range of gloss, adherence to the substrate and the hardness of surface. Estimation of appearance surfaces of lacquer coatings with the visual method acc. to PN-EN ISO 2813 standard was made. Investigations of gloss of coatings were determined with the photoelectric method acc. to PN-EN ISO 2813 standard. Adherence of coatings were investigated by means of the pull-off method, acc. to the PN-EN ISO 4624 standard. Pencil hardness determination was carried out acc. to the PN-ISO 15184 standard. It was stated among others that in terms of adjusting the coatings characteristics, the CA 507 agent did not meet the required function
