INFLUENCE OF RESEARCH AWARENESS AND CULTURE TO THE LEVEL OFRESEARCH PRODUCTIVITY AMONG FACULTY MEMBERS OF A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION.

Abstract
This study assessed the influence of research awareness and culture on the research productivity among faculty members of Laguna State Polytechnic University, Philippines. Research designed used: descriptive-correlation, documentary analyses, and regression analysis.The research awareness among faculty members is high and the level of research culture in its qualitative aspects is true and highly evident. Research productivity is influenced by the faculty?s level of research awareness and moderately influencedby research culture. Orientation on the university?s research agenda, policies, thrusts and priorities; how are they implemented and disseminated motivate and encourage research productivity. Research constructive culture reveals that the research productivity becomes higher in an institution where there is a display of cooperation, a pleasant relationship and fulfillment of individual potentials. Constructive culture must be continued to benefit the faculty and the university.
