INFLUENCE OF SHOT PEENING ON AISI 316Ti FATIGUE PROPERTIES
Journal Title: Materials Engineering - Materialove inzinierstvo (MEMI) - Year 2012, Vol 19, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper deals with examination of fatigue properties of AISI 316Ti stainless steel before and after shot peening including analysis of residual stress relaxation during rotating bending fatigue tests (f = 50 Hz, T = 20 ± 3 °C, R = - 1) with use of X - ray diffractometer. Obtained experimental results show increase of fatigue properties in the high – cycle region including fatigue limit and show the behavior of residual stress at cyclic loading in the region from N = 103 cycles to N = 10[sup]7[/sup] cycles of loading.

EVALUATION OF DIELECTRIC CURING MONITORING INVESTIGATING LIGHT-CURING DENTAL FILLING COMPOSITES
The aim of this study is the evaluation of a dielectric analysis (DEA) method monitoring the curing behaviour of a light curing dental filling material in real-time. The evaluation is to extract the influence of light in...
The effect of different shot peening intensities on fatigue life of AW 7075 aluminium alloy
In this study the effect of different shot peening intensities, from very light peening with ceramic beads to severe shot peening with high coverage, on the fatigue life of aircraft AW 7075 aluminium alloy was investigat...
Heat Treatment of Cr- and Cr-V ledeburitic tool steels
Cr- and Cr-V ledeburitic cold work tool steels belong to the most important tool materials for large series manufacturing. To enable high production stability, the tools must be heat treated before use. This overview pap...
FINITE ELEMENT IMPLEMENTATION OF DELAMINATION IN COMPOSITE PLATES
Modelling of composite structures by finite element (FE) codes to effectively model certain critical failure modes such as delamination is limited. Previous efforts to model delamination and debonding failure modes using...
USING THE VIDEOEXTENSOMETRY AND UCI - HARDNESS FOR MONITORING OF AUTOMOTIVE STEEL SHEETS
The paper deals with examination of relation between the hardness and the size of plastic zone during the tensile loading. UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) micro-hardness method was used for hardness measurements. Defo...
