INTERACTION OF HIGH ENERGY PROTONS IN ORGANIC TISSUE. BACK TO THE ROOTS

Abstract
Proton therapy has been developing rapidly. It has several advantages over other types of radiation. However, the nature of the interaction of protons in organic tissue remains a matter of controversy. In this article, we want to show that proton-nuclear interactions are the main type of interaction of high-energy protons in a tissue. We analyze the already known facts from the life of high-energy protons. We are convinced that in the case of high-energy particles, the dose as an integral concept must be structured.
