Interaction Techniques In Earth Science Applications
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Human - Computer Interaction - Year 2009, Vol 2, Issue 3
Abstract
The modelling, simulation and visualization of environmental data involves the defining and development of some particular interaction techniques. An architecture that supports different interaction techniques is presented in this paper. In addition, some test scenarios are presented to highlight the interaction model.

Remote Visualization of Dynamical 3d Graphical Scenes
This paper presents the development of an application used for remote visualization of 3D graphical scenes. For this purpose, an interactive application is realized. The main goal of the system is to allow users of compu...
Evaluation of the Usability and Pedagogical Effectiveness of an Augmented Reality Learning Scenario
Although several evaluation methods for e-learning interactive systems exist, few of them have been adapted for the evaluation of the pedagogical effectiveness and usability of augmented reality (AR) systems. In this pap...
Improving parsing using morpho-syntactic and semantic information
In this paper we present the efforts of creating a syntactic parser with a very good performance on Romanian sentences. Instead of creating a parser from scratch, we decided to test the freely available existing ones and...
Virtual Reality Model in Geographical Information Systems
The paper presents a software architecture to implement a virtual reality model inside the Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Spatial data provides a schematic view of reality, so it is necessary to use raster data...
Automatic Language Recognition with application in Diferentiated Speech Synthesis
This paper briefly presents several aspects concerning automatic language recognition and continues with particularities for algorithms used in language differentiated speech synthesis. Several algorithm optimization met...
