Interface Layer Structure and Properties of Cu / Al Compound Plate

Abstract

The Cu / Al composite plate was prepared by twin-roll casting. Peel testing and tensile testing were used to test mechanical properties of Cu / Al composite. The scanning electron microscope( SEM),energy dispersive spectrometer( EDS),transmission electron microscope( TEM) and other instruments were used to analyze the interface layer morphologies,structure and component. The analysis results show that the primary intermetallic compounds in the interface include α-Al and Cu Al2. The peel strength of the composite plate prepared by twin-roll casting can reach to 30 N / mm,and its tensile strength and elongation rate are between Al and Cu in the same size.
