INVESTIGATING THE MANAGING SKILLS OF EDUCATION TECHNOLOGIES OF SCHOOL IN THEIR INSTITUTIONS IN AGE OF CHANGE

Abstract

This study aims to scrutinize managerial skills in education Technologies that school managers have in their institutes according to managers and teachers’ views. The managers and teachers that work in Gumushane form the population of this study that is made by Relational Screening Model. In this study, it is reached 40 school managers amongs 73 school managers for quantitative data. This study exemplifies from 159 teachers that are chosen amongs 770 teachers by Layering Technique. As for qualitative data, the work group constitutes in commissioned teachers and managers that are determined by Maximum Variation Sampling Method as ten managers and four teachers totally 14. In the phase of collecting data, the appropriate data colection tools are applied in this study. Questionaries are appealed for quantitative data, and for qualitative data interview technique is used. In this study, Kruskal Wallis Test, Mann-Whitney U Test and One Way ANOVA Test are applied in analysis of quantitative data. It is seen that there is so meaningful difference -at a level of , 05- between school managers and teachers when the technological leadership self-sufficiency test is totally evaluated. It is reached that the teachers views make a difference at a level of ,05 accordingly managers views in the subcompoonents of the test such as; Visionary Leadership, Digital Era Learning Culture, Digital Citizenship and Perfection in Professional Application. Systematic Development that is one of the subcomponents of the test doesn’t make a meaningful difference. According to the data that is got by interview technique, it is understood that education instittutions are in a good condition in terms of informatics and education, slide based lesson presentations are available, and they are actively used by teachers, students, and students. On the other hand, it is obviously seen that interactive boards and connected Technologies are not sufficient, it is reached that the managers and teachers’ ability of using education and informatics technologies is not the level of doing the requirements of digital age.
