Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 7

Abstract

Objective To understand women􀆳s cognition and willingness for regular breast examinations through online surveys and analyze related influencing factors, so as to provide a reference for carrying out regular breast examinations and promote the progress of breast cancer screening in China. Methods From November 9, 2019 to November 18, 2019, a total of 1 191 valid questionnaires were collected by randomly distributing online questionnaires to women. The survey data were analyzed by using statistical methods such as Chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results In the 1 191 women, 927 (77. 8% ) understood the necessity of regular breast examinations, and a greater proportion of young and middle-aged ( > 30 40 years old) women ( F2 = 46. 355,P < 0. 01) and women living in cities above the new first-tier better understood the necessity (F2 = 175. 880,P < 0. 01). For the examination with good medical environment and service quality (P < 0. 05), and with professional and accurate diagnosis (P < 0. 05), the respondents were more willing to conduct regular examinations. Conclusion The majority of women have a higher acceptance of regular breast examinations. Good medical environment and service quality, professional and accurate diagnosis can encourage women to have regular breast examinations. Therefore, it is necessary to improve medical environment, service quality of medical staff, and technical level of medical staff in breast diagnosis, and further promote the implementation of breast cancer prevention and control.
