Journal Title: Endüstri Mühendisliği - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 2
Abstract
Musculoskeletal disorders which are affecting back, legs, arms, neck, wrist etc, frequently found in workers working in jobs that require physical strength. Therefore, in order to reduce the wear conditions of the people in the working environment, to benefit from skills of people more effectively, the spread of ergonomic applications has become mandatory. In this study, work related musculoskeletal disorders were considered as versatile. Ergonomic risk assessment methods in the literatüre were mentioned and work related musculoskeletal disorders in furniture manufacturing were explained. The implementation phase of the study, a furniture factory which is located in a hazard class and industry-leading was preferred. When selecting methods, OWAS, REBA, QEC and ManTRA methods were selected because of they are combined/whole body assessment methods.
