INVESTIGATION OF ANTIWEAR PROPERTIES OF LUBRICANT CONTAINING VEGETABLE RAW MATERIALS

Abstract
The article presents the results of an investigation of antiwear properties of lubricants which contained additives made of vegetable-originated products. Research was carried out in laboratory conditions using a four- -ball apparatus. Based on the conducted research, it was found that action effect of vegetable products depends on their chemical structure and concentration and type base oils. The addition to the mineral oil and poli(α)olefin oil of a suitable amount of the products can have an effect on decreasing the intensity of wear.
