INVESTIGATION OF CHILDREN'S HEALTH INDICATORS IN KREMENCHUK

Abstract
Purpose. To study the health indicators of children who live in the central part of the city of Kremenchug and to recommend measures to improve children’s health. Methodology. Descriptive, statistical, mathematical, graphical methods have been used. Anthropogenic impact on the environmental state of Kremenchug city has been analyzed at the initial stage of the work. Such indicators as general and infectious morbidity, prevalence of morbidity, health index, number of patients on dispensary records, number of births, deaths of children have been used for the analysis of the health status of children. Results. Comparison of data on childhood morbidity in Kremenchug with the results of previous studies indicates its average level has been performed. Most of the indicators, including the prevalence of the disease, the incidence of general and infectious diseases, the number of patients on the dispensary account have been characterized by wavy dynamics, corresponding to the dynamics of economic indicators.To study the structure of the incidence of children, the number of visits of specialized specialists was studied. Analysis of the data has shown that the most common health problems related to respiratory organs, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, allergic diseases. Measures have been proposed to reduce the incidence of children. Originality. Previous studies have often been based on an analysis of indicators of overall morbidity, prevalence of morbidity, structure of morbidity. In this study, a set of indicators has been used, which, in addition to the above, included the health index, the number of children on dispensary records and some others. Practical value. Performed analysis of the dynamics of children's health indicators makes it possible to identify the main ways to improve indicators of children’s health, as well as to determine the priority areas of preventive and sanitary education.
