INVESTIGATION OF DIFFUSE INTERSTELLAR BANDS OF ORGANIC MOLECULES IN THE SPECTRA OF CEPHEID STARS
Journal Title: Odessa Astronomical Publications - Year 2015, Vol 28, Issue 2
Abstract
We describe an effective method of investigation of the Diffuse Interstellar Bands (DIBs) in the spectra of Cepheid stars. DIBs are believed to originate from the absorption of such carriers as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the interstellar gaseous clouds located between an observer and the stars whose spectra were recorded. We performed a detailed consideration of the DIB at 6613 A in our sample of spectra for more than 250 stars. The quantitative characteristics of the DIB absorption features will be studied in connection with the interstellar absorption data, and after that, they will be used in the mapping of the Galactic disc.

PHOTOMETRY AND BLAZHKO EFFECT IN RR LYR-TYPE STAR AE LEO
The photometric observations for the RR Lyr-type star AE Leo in the Astronomical station near Odessa using the 48-cm reflector AZT-3 and the CCD photometer equipped with the V filter have been carried out. The light curves...
ASTROMETRY OF Χ AND H PERSEI BASED ON PROCESSING OF DIGITIZED PLATES OF ARCHIVE OF THE ASTRONOMICAL INSTITUTE OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
Work is done with Epson Expression 10000XL scanner of Astronomical Institute (AI) of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The plates were exposed with the Normal astrograph (D/F = 330mm / 3467mm, M = 59.56"/mm)....
THE SOLUTION OF THE COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT PROBLEM AND THE FORMATION OF THE SPACE-TIME CONTINUUM
The application of the microscopic theory of superconductivity to describe the early Universe makes it possible to solve the problem of dark energy. In the cosmological models with superconductivity (CMS) this problem is...
RELATIONS OF STRUCTURE COMPONENTS OF GIANT RADIO SOURCES
Our previous estimates of physical parameters of galaxies and quasars with steep radio spectrum have showed their great radio luminosity and giant radio structure. Examination of the relations of corresponding monochroma...
UNIVERSALITY IN MAGNETOEMISSION OF COMPACT ASTROPHYSICAL OBJECTS
Magnetodynamics of inhomogeneous crusty nuclear matter is considered accounting for quantum fluctuations and ferromagnetic coupling. We show that anomalies in nuclide magnetic moments give rise to erratic jumps in magnet...
