Investigation Of The Bond Strength Between Three Different Structure Cad/Cam Materials And Composıte Resins
Journal Title: Uluslararası Dis Hekimligi Bilimleri Dergisi - Year 2024, Vol 10, Issue 2
Abstract
Objective: To investigate the bond strength between CAD/CAM materials of three different structures and composite resins used in the repair of these materials. Material and Methods: Specimens prepared from IPS e.max CAD (Ivoclar), Cerasmart (GC), Vita Enamic (Vita Zahnfabric) CAD/CAM materials were fixed with autopolymerizing acrylic (n=10). The upper surfaces of the specimens were sanded with 600-1200 SIC sandpaper for 60 seconds. G-aenial Posterior (GC) or G-aenial Universal Flo (GC) 2-mm high was applied to the prepared CAD/CAM surfaces according to the manufacturer's recommendations. G-Multi Primer and G2 Bond Universal were used on all CAD/CAM surfaces. On all CAD/CAM surfaces, the composites were applied and polymerized using a Teflon mold. After 24 hours in the incubator, shear bond strength tests were performed on all prepared specimens. Fracture types were determined by examining at the sample surfaces under a stereomicroscope. Failure types were classified and recorded as adhesive, cohesive and mix. Data were analyzed with one way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey HSD tests (p< .05). Fracture types were evaluated using the Chi-square test. Results: Both composite materials exhibited similar bond strength values to Vita Enamic and Cerasmart, whereas lower bond strength values to IPS e.max CAD. Generally, adhesive type fractures were observed in IPS e.max CAD material, and cohesive type fractures were observed in Vita Enamic and Cerasmart materials. Conclusion: : Composite materials bonded to Cerasmart and Vita Enamic, which are resin-based CAD/CAM materials, with high values, whereas they bonded to IPS e.max CAD with lower values.
