INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF EMPOWERMENT ON JOB SATISFACTION AND JOB MOTIVATION AT HOSPITALS WHICH SCOPE OF GOVERMENT HOSPITALS UNION

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of empowerment on job satisfaction and job motivation in terms of employees, who work at health institutions which are scope of government hospitals union in the light of some variables. 336 health employees who work at health institutions affiliated government hospitals unions in Isparta City participated to study. Empowerment Scale developed by Demir (2013) in determination of empowerment perceptions of participants, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale in determination of job satisfaction level of participants, Job Motivation Scale developed by Dündar and et al. (2007) in determination of job motivation were used. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis in SPSS 15.0 for Windows package program were used in analysis of data obtained. At the end of study, health care workers with internal and external job satisfaction levels it was found to be at a moderate level of overall job satisfaction. Similarly, employees' work motivation at the level was determined to be at a moderate level. When the research staff at strengthening the scores of subscales assessed, executive coaching and motivation, effective assessment, rewarding and strengthening educational support staff is determined to be moderate compared to employees' perception of the total score. Besides strengthening staff at the end of the research, a significant level of job satisfaction and work motivation and has been found to be a linear relationship (p <0.05).
