Investigation of the reliability of the repaired equipment of automatics and telemechanics

Abstract
The results of studies of the dependence of the average failure rate and mean time between failures of the repaired equipment of automation and telemechanics on the frequency of preventive replacements and the depth of reliability restoration, as well as the coefficient of variation of distributions used to describe equipment failures. It is established that the value of the average failure rate with a decrease in the frequency and number of replacements of repaired equipment before replacement with new equipment decreases, and with a decrease in the depth of restoration of the reliability of the equipment increases. By varying the depth of reliability restoration or the frequency and number of replacements of the repaired equipment before replacement with new equipment, it is possible to provide a set value of the average failure rate of automation and telemechanics equipment. MTBF of the equipment significantly depends on the depth of recovery of reliability when conducting the repair. There are the boundary values of the frequency of replacements and the recovery depth of reliability, in which repair is impractical, as the time to failure of equipment in these cases is lower than in the absence of such repairs. There are limits to the depth of reliability restoration, in which repairs at any frequency reduces the time between failures of equipment and carrying out such repairs is impractical. From the results of research it follows that for the equipment, in which the aging and wear processes are expressed more clearly, the range of expediency of repairs is expanding. The obtained results show that in operating conditions due to changes in the frequency of preventive replacements and the depth of reliability restoration it is possible to provide the required value of the mean time between failures of the equipment.
