INVESTMENTS: DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS AND THEIR IMPORTANCE IN THE ECONOMY

Abstract
The diversity of the term «investment» is largely due to the breadth of the essential features of this complex economic category. The article highlighted the main characteristics of conventional investment theory centers, which provide a definition of the term. The main provisions of the regulatory framework, theoretical achievements of foreign and domestic scientists, practitioners experience to determine the economic category of «investment».
