Inwestowanie w małych i średnich gospodarstwach rolnych – na przykładzie badań własnych w województwie opolskim

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to present the results of research conducted by the author in the Opole Province. The research project delas with social and economic transformation in family farms of the region. It is based on the re-sults of the analysis carried out in July 2012 in the Opole Province in 383 indi-vidual farms sized 2–30 ha. The study shows that the farms cannot cope in the free-market economy as this type of economyfavours big agrarian manufac-tures.Addiotional incomes are not sufficient to fund modernization. There-fore, farmers do not invest in the development of their farms. However, they do not sell their farms, and it is disadvantageous from the viewpoint of agrar-ian structure. This is particularly a problem in the case of small farms.
