Journal Title: Türk Dünyası Dil ve Edebiyat Dergisi - Year 2020, Vol 1, Issue 49
Abstract
Naz Muhammet Pakga has a significant place in Iran Turkmen litareture because of his contribution to poetry and his strong speech ability rooting from Turkmensahra territory. Pakga wrote his poems combining written language of Turkmen literature and Yomut dialect. He is especially famous for his poems in rubaie form. Although this poem form, which shows the power of speech and the richness of Turkmen literature, has similar content and style with the rubaie in classical literature, it has similar rhythm and rhyme structure with folk poems. His innovative plans and studies about translating his work to Persian remained half-finished due to his early death. But his contribution to Turkmen language and literature was more than that. In addition to being a poet, he was also a writer-journalist. He made translations, wrote and made studies for various magazines and journals contributing to Turkmen literary movements. He was the first one to write headline in Turkman Turkish in a journal (a page named Alaçık published in Gülistan-ı Iran journal) in Iran and he was the one who laid the foundation of journalism in mother tongue in Iran. In this study; themes of his work, properties of his language and spelling are analyzed depending on Pakga’s life, works, literary personality
