İran’da Musaddık Dönemi: 1951-1953

Abstract
One of the critical periods in Iran’s political history is the term of Mohammed Mossadeq. In the years of 1940’s, there was a nationalist wave in Iran. That wave had been ended with the establishment of National Front at the end of 40’s. Different segments of society had come together in the National Front under the leadership of Mossadeq. With the campaign of National Front, the Iranian Oil had been nationalized and Mossadeq became the Prime Minister in 1951. Mossadeq and his movement had been effective on Iran’s policy until the coup which was organized by CIA-MI6 in 1953. In this work, political events during the period of Mossadeq government have been examined. Moreover, this study has given place to reforms that were made by Mossadeq and how these reforms impacted to political area in Iran. On the other hand, the struggle between Mossadeq and Great Powers also has been discussed. In order to understand the event of 1953 Coup / Ajax Operation better, it is important to analyse the political processes both inside and outside of Iran among 1951-1953. Finally, analysing of this time would contribute us to understand the process of 1979 Revolution better and scepticism of Iran’s society towards foreign powers.
