Abstract
The source of the proposed research are media resources. The lower chronological limit is the beginning of the administration of the bishop Milan Shashik, whose activities are determinative for the observed processes. The organizational and intellectual directions of the historical policy of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Mukachevo, as well as the features of its property expansion, are shown in the article. It is noted that now in Ukraine there is a steady slippage of religious organizations towards secular “church business” that resembles similar phenomena of the past.
