JAPANESE AND ALPINE EXPERIENCE IN THE GEORGIAN MOUNTAIN PROTECTION

Abstract
A significant portion of the territory of Georgia is mountainous relief and it is of utmost importance to “preserve and utilize” the mountains or in other words to create appropriate conditions for the population to encourage economic potential and social capital growth. Despite the fact that the Georgian Governments have developed several programs for mountain revival, it is moreover essential to study the experience of other advanced countries that have mountainous relief and share specific problems and positive practices of solving them. It is also necessary to encourage the people who will be involved in the decision-making process and support civil awareness of ongoing projects in the region.
