Journal Title: Вчені записки Таврійський національний університет імені В.І. Вернадського. Серія: Історичні науки - Year 2018, Vol 29, Issue 3
Abstract
The article covers the events of 1919 in the Uman region, which are connected with Jewish pogroms. The materials of regional history consider the problem of Jewish pogroms as an essential part of the general picture of the tragic events of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921. Among the main forces, involved in the anti-Semitic pogroms, were troops of the Directory, the Bolsheviks, and isolated armed formations in Uman. The pogroms destroyed the life of Uman’s Jewry.
