JUBILEE DELIBERATION ON TRIBOLOGY

Abstract

Thanks to opportunity of Tribology Schools jubilee, in the article are presented the consideration of same issues that usually are driven out by current tasks and escaped tribologiests notice. The friction knowledge evolution leading to single out tribology as self-contain scientific discipline is presented. Deliberations are based on two assumption: 1. The tribology scientificity issue isn’t deliberated, because author thinks that discipline couldn’t be considered as scientific or not, there are effects of discipline activities that could be considered in such way. 2. Tribology evolution resulted from friction attributes cognition and identification as omnipresent physical phenomenon and from sustained research aiming at limitation of friction negative effects or make the most of friction as the element of controlled process. The article also presents the issue, or rather group of issues encompasses tribologiests’ views and such views consequences for tribology development and its position among scientific disciplines. In this part of article there are considered same methodological questions of tribology and current state of its interior structure. The presented deliberations refer to jubilee character of Tribology School.<br/><br/>
