KINETIC PARAMETERS OF OXIDATION OF IRON IRONS (FE2 +) IN AERIAL DEVICES

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the purification of groundwater from ferrous by forced aeration. It is assumed that the intensification of the oxidation process of ferrous can be achieved by significantly increasing the contact area of the water-air interface, using the method of discrete-pulsed energy input. The purpose of the work is to determine the kinetic parameters of ferrous oxidation in different aeration devices and compare them with the corresponding parameters of the aeration-oxidative setup (AORT) with discrete impulse input of energy. The experimental aeration-oxidative setup is a closed loop system consisting of reactor, aerator-oxidizer, recirculation circuit, cooling jacket, management and control unit, measuring equipment and oxidative and filtration column. The air for aeration of treating water is self-suctioned through an air pipe with an ejector at the end to the air inlet pipe. The air-fed mixture obtained in the ejection zone enters an aerator-oxidizer, consisting of a rotor-pulsating unit and a rotary impeller of a centrifugal pump. The working volume of the aerator-oxidizer is 0.0015 m3. An oxygen-saturated gas-air mixture through the recirculation pipeline returns to the reactor. As parameters for comparison were used: oxidation rate [mol/l∙s], and effective oxidation constant [c-1]. In addition, the energy efficiency of process of deferrization, namely, specific energy consumption, [kWh / m3] was estimated. It is determined that the rate of oxidation of ferrous in AORT exceeds the rate of oxidation in a water ejector by 13-15%, in cooling tower - more than 2 times. Specific energy consumption for treating 1m3 of water in AORT is 40% less than in a water-air ejector and 2.5 times than in a cooling tower.
