KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT – COMPETENCE AND INTRODUCTION TO THE ORGANIZATION

Abstract
Considering the devoted literature in this area, we have attempted to provide an overview of the manner in which knowledge management is currently approached in Romanian organizations. Our primary objective is to understand and study thoroughly this process in order to improve higher education in Business Management. Our ultimate goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to implement proficient management practices in their current or future employing organizations. In this phase of our research, we reviewed more than 30 cases conceived with the assistance of the Master students, who are employed in various companies during their university training. Our research focused on the importance attached by the management to: introduction to the organization and professional development; correlation of the training process with role, competences and skills analysis; learning from customers for the improvement of service quality. In the same time, we examined the role played by a good relationship with the client in achieving customer satisfaction, which works for the advantage of business performance and development. The conclusions of the paper refer to the ways, in which the surveyed companies ensure the identification and dissemination of the knowledge required, to achieve its business objectives and build long-term relationships with customers.
