Kościół św. Stanisława w Lublinie jako miejsce obrad sejmikowych

Abstract
Kościół ojców dominikanów w Lublinie był uświęconym tradycją miejscem obrad sejmikowych przez 260 lat. Gromadząca się w nim szlachta dzięki gościnności zakonników nie musiała martwić się o własne pomieszczenia, ani ponosić kosztów związanych z ich budową oraz utrzymaniem. W zamian gospodarze otrzymywali niewielkie wsparcie na remonty świątyni, a także co niemniej ważne, przychylność samych obradujących, którzy decydując o losach państwa uwzględniali również interesy Kościoła.
