Kosmologia współczesna w schemacie pojęciowym kolektywu badawczego i stylu myślowego Ludwika Flecka

Abstract
In this paper we try to distinguish ‘the styles of scientific thinking’ in the specific sense of L. Fleck’s philosophy of science as applied to the modern cosmology. We investigate two distinct styles: the factual and the theoretical (or geometric) one. The ‘factual style of thinking’ in cosmology means focusing on the empirical observations and physical properties and processes; ‘theoretical (or geometric) style of thinking’ deals with mathematical (geometrical) structures as the foundations of scientific research and discovery. We have pointed out the importance of taking into consideration the impact sociological factors on the scientific research. The role of the Fleck collective is illustrated on the example of Landau school of Theoretical Physics.
