Abstract
The person and work of Rev. Wawrzyniec Bochenek SDS, a significant figure in the history of the Polish Salvatorians’ Province, has not so far been included in any detailed historical study. Hitherto existing fragmentary studies focus mainly on his activity in the parish and in the sanctuary of St. Hedwig in Trzebnica. No publication until now has thoroughly described his work as the inspector of religious congregations. This is the first paper to present this subject. It is also an inspiration for a detailed preliminary research and drawing up of the rich history of life, pastoral, social and cultural activity of this pioneer on the Polish Recovered Territories after World War II.
