LA CATÉGORIE DE LA PERSONNE EN FRANÇAIS ET EN EWONDO : ENTRE GRAMMAIRE ET LEXIQUE

Journal Title: Studii de Gramatica Contrastiva - Year 2013, Vol 20, Issue 20

Abstract

Classification constitutes a productive field for contrastive studies. The analysis of grammatical classes and categories gives an example in this paper. It is shown that, in both French and Ewondo, the main difficulty faced is linked to their identification and typology. What does the person stand for? There exist typologies, which grammar roughly organizes items. After having described the (morphosyntaxic) properties of the items known as “personal pronouns”, and based on the problems raised by some transformations, the paper claims that it can be distinguished different paradigms within the system of person.
