LA CONSTRUCTION DE L’ETHOS POLITIQUE DU PRÉSIDENT BIYA1 DANS SES DISCOURS À LA JEUNESSE CAMEROUNAISE

Abstract
Résumé: Dans cet article, il est question de montrer comment Paul Biya construit l’image de soi (ethos) dans ses discours en direction de la jeunesse camerounaise. L’analyse du rapport entre l’ethos prédiscursif et discursif du Président Biya est une mise en perspective de son identité discursive et de son identité sociale. En fait, l’opérateur politique réalise un travail de renforcement de traits favorables ou de déconstruction des représentations négatives d’une identité et d’une image de soi spécifiques, ceci dans la visée d’une efficacité de son projet de persuasion. Cet ethos est constitué de trois figures majeures à savoir : l’ethos de crédibilité, l’ethos d’identification et l’ethos paternaliste. Abstract: This work aims at showing how President Paul Biya constructs self image (ethos) in his speeches to cameroonian youth. Analysing the relationship between prediscursive and discursive ethos of president Biya, is to put into perspective his discursive and social identity respectively. For an effectiveness project of persuasion, the political operator achieves a work either or favourable features reinforcement, or of deconstruction of the negative representations for both specifics identity and self image. This ethos consists of three major figures namely: credibility ethos, identification ethos and paternalist ethos.
