Journal Title: RSBO - Year 2006, Vol 3, Issue 1

Abstract

The aim of this work was to investigate the buccal problems that most affect the workers exposed to the chemical agents in galvanic industries. Two industries (A and B) have been selected in the region of Curitiba. In each industry one group of workers that was straightly connected to the galvanic process and another one that was not, were selected. An inspection of the industry and the application of a questionnaire to the workers were carried out besides the realization of the clinical extra and intrabuccal examination. The collected data were analyzed and they have not given significant results in each industry. When compared, the industry B presented higher rates of symptoms.
