Language means of evaluation in travel prose by Lesya Voronyna

Abstract
In the article, various types of evaluation means used in Lesya Voronyna’s book “In Search of Ogopogo” to reflect the author’s experiences of cities and countries are analysed. It is shown that direct adjective evaluation contexts belonging to emotional, senso-gustatory and aesthetic groups prevail in the text. Among the considered evaluation cases there also are those expressed by a sentence, so that their axiological sense can be deducted from background knowledge and concept of standard.
