L'ENSABLEMENT DANS LA PLAINE DE TAFILALET (SUD-EST DU MAROC)
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2013, Vol 16, Issue 16
Abstract
The resurgence of silting in plain Tafilalet phenomena is much related to increasing human pressure to technological changes accompanying a little rational management of resources and unfavorable weather conditions. In addition, overgrazing exposes surrounding grasslands to a number of aeolien and hydraulic erosion processes; human activities are thus first-order causes of environmental disequilibria observed over the last decades. Hydraulic erosion leading to sand deposition in low areas within the terrain, as well as physical, geomorphologic. The principle factors leading to desertification and concurrent sanding-up are the lowering of phreatic aquifers, soil fragility and the salination of water and soils under the effect of high evaporation rates.

FLOODS TYPOLOGY IN SEMIARID ENVIRONMENT: CASE OF AIN SEFRA WATERSHED (KSOUR MOUNTAINS, SAHARIAN ATLAS, SW OF ALGERIA)
The watershed of Ain Sefra covers an area of 1957 km2, it is located in the SW of Algerian territory in an area called Ksour Mountains. It is moderately elongated and characterized by a fairly widespread network, steep...
NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF WATER FLOW ALONG STEPPED SPILLWAYS WITH NON UNIFORM STEP HEIGHTS
Stepped spillway is a good hydraulic structure for energy dissipation because of the large value of the surface roughness. The performance of the stepped spillway is enhanced with the presence of air that can prevent o...
EFFECT OF SUBSURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM DEPTH ON SOIL WATER CONTENT DISTRIBUTION AT DIFFERENT DEPTHS AND DIFFERENT TIMES AFTER IRRIGATION
To properly manage subsurface drip irrigation (SDI), and increase the efficiency of the water use while reducing water losses due to evaporation, the precise distribution of water around the emitters must be known. In...
ESTIMATION DES PRECIPITATIONS EN UTILISANT L’INFORMATION MULTISPECTRALE DU SATELLITE METEOSAT
This work concerns the rainfall estimation using the multispectral information of Meteosat satellite. With this intention, we worked out a method with threshold which combines the Infrared-Visible information of the Me...
