Abstract
The Words of Jazz in French: between Slang, Jargon and Specialty Vocabulary The words of jazz have rarely been examined in French. This article attempts to answer this gap by exposing the difficulty inherent in their analysis on the basis of the data and explanations provided by the lexicographical materials available on the subject. Ultimately, it is a question of constructing a minimal glossary but important enough to account for this particular field.
