Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the peculiarities of functioning of lexical units of Australian variant of English language on the material of the songs by the country music writer John Williamson. Lexical units of the aboriginal language as well as lexical units of Australian slang are distinguished and analyzed in the author’s texts.
