Linguistic image of father in the artistic discourse of I. Franko

Abstract
The lingual characteristic of father image in the artistic discourse of Ivan Franko is considered in the article. The features in this image are revealed in different ethnic types of families: Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish. The lexical-semantic means, that express age, social status, appearance, character traits, characteristics of intra-family communication are ascertained. Common and different features that characterize father in the diverse types of families are revealed
